The Testimonial Match will take place at Prenton Park on Monday 30th March, 2009. All the details for the match will be announced here.

Main Testimonial Match
Tranmere Rovers vs Everton XI
The main match will see Tranmere play host to Premiership neighbours Everton. David Moyes has kindly agreed to send a team over from Goodison, and John would like to thank both David and Everton Football Club for doing so.
Heroes Match
Before it there will be a match between the Tranmere Wembley 2000 Team and a team made up of players I have played with during my time at Tranmere. So far, as many as 50 former Rovers players and managers have said they will come, so it should be a great night which I hope you will all enjoy. For a list of players who will be playing, and some information about them for any younger fans who may not know some of them, check the following links.
After the first game there will then be a chance for you to get the autograph or photo of one of your former heroes as they walk around the Prenton Park pitch.
Match Officials
The match will be refereed by Premiership Official Mike Dean.
Heswall-born Mike is a familiar face to any Match of the Day
viewers having been a Premiership referee for many years.
He started officiating back in 1985 to keep himself fit and within four years he went from junior football and West Cheshire League on Sunday mornings to running the line in the Unibond league.
He became part of the Football League as a linesman in 1997 and a year later moved into the middle as referee. He joined the Premier League list of officials in 2000/2001 and was promoted to the FIFA list in 2003.
