'Tranmere Past' Team
Throughout John's eleven years at Tranmere there have been many players to come and go playing alongside him. Many will return to honour him on Monday 30th March, 2009 against the Wembley 2000 team. Information on some of those returning can be seen below, and more profiles will be added in the coming weeks.

Wayne AllisonPopular striker Wayne Allison joined the club during the 1999-2000 season from Huddersfield Town for £300,000. He was an instant hit and went on to achieve a credible scoring record of 32 goals in 117 appearances. |

Georges SantosPowerful Frenchman Santos joined at the same time as John in 1998 and was a favourite at the time with some committed displays. Left the club in 2000 and went on to play for numerous Championship clubs in England. He pulled on the Rovers shirt again in 2008 with some fantastic displays in the Tranmere Masters team. |

Ryan TaylorRyan burst on to the scene with a stunning goal at Hartlepool on his debut. He broke into the team regularly under Ray Mathias and continue to excel when Brian Little arrived. Part of the play-off team in 2004-05, Ryan left to join Wigan in 2005 for around £750,000. |

Paul HallAnother player involved in the 2004-05 season, Paul initially joined Tranmere from Rushden and Diamonds in March 2004 but it was the following season when he made a real impact. A hugely popular winger with a fine scoring record, Paul played 63 times for Tranmere. |

Jason KoumasA product of Tranmere's youth system, many fans believe Jason to be one of the most gifted to have played for Rovers in recent years. A successful Premiership and International player, the midfielder is currently at Wigan and has commanded more than £7.5m in transfer fees during his career.

Kenny IronsKenny is another to have come through the ranks at Prenton Park and spent nearly a decade around the first team squad and made more than 400 appearances for the club. He left for Huddersfield in 1999 but is now back working with the club and was one of the stars of the successful Masters team in 2008. |
